Excelente Monitoreo.

Puntos a favor:

Teniendo en cuenta que tiene un plan gratuito cabe destacar que brinda informacion completa sobre el servidor y los equipos que se monitorean.

Contras:

Cabe recalcar que es un aplicativo pago y obiamente la vercion gratuita tiene limitantes pero es excelente aplicativo y recomiendo adquirirlo.

Comentarios: Es un aplicativo que responde a las necesidades actuales en el monitoreo de tiempo real de los servidores y bases de datos

Puntos a favor:

El envio en tiempo real de las operaciones y caidas de los servidores y bases de datos, lo que me permite una mejor toma de desiciones

Contras:

La falta de un panel ejecutivo de respuesta aleatoria, me impide una mas rapida toma de desiciones

Comentarios: It's an intuitive program that provides users with comprehensive records of all recent actions. Displays success or failure of the process. If the attempt fails, identify the faulty stage. It explains everything from beginning to conclusion.

Puntos a favor:

All of Datadog's basic building blocks are top-notch. Their data ingestion is lightning fast and (usually) dependable, their graph widget is adaptable and usable in a wide variety of contexts, and they have a good track record of introducing products that combine these features.

Contras:

Our experiences with Datadog support have been continuously negative; the company goes out of its way to avoid direct communication and offers irrelevant answers.

Great & rich centralized observability tool that just works!

Comentarios: I've used Datadog for several years now. It is my go-to observability tool. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Puntos a favor:

- Centralized observability - Rich features, covering end-to-end stack - Good UI/UX experience - Rich integration with other libraries and frameworks - Reliability and scalability

Contras:

- The pricing model is too rigid. It can be expensive when you have the scale. - The pricing model can be too complicated to understand - No startup or credits offering

Effective Monitoring Solution

Comentarios: Overall, Datadog gets the job done. Through APM, tracing, infrastucture metrics and log explorer, I’m able to triage my incidents effectively. The Watchdog product is also super convenient. Its able to general catch issues/changes that may impact your business. Its very useful especially when/if you’re missing some alerts that were not accounted for.

Puntos a favor:

The UI and UX is intuitive for the most part.

Contras:

Depending on the product being used, UI can be alittle overwhelming and complex.

The support from Datadog team along the year to tackle bugs and also beta testing new products and providing feedback

Comentarios: Datadog is fantastic. Expensive, but fantastic.

Puntos a favor:

The easy of visualizeation and searching vs any other platform.

Contras:

Navigating is difficult, it relies on you memorizing icon means what, or what dropdown a service falls under.

A powerhouse of a tool for monitoring every bit of application stack, infrastructure, state of business

Contras:

A lot of options and functions sometimes makes it hard to find the one you need

Happy switch from ELK to Datadog, and more

Comentarios: Overall, I am happy with it. The transition from ELK stack to Datadog feels intuitive.

Puntos a favor:

Everything is packed into one platform, that makes it the single point when it comes to monitoring.

Contras:

Support for Maven and Gradle is not so great. It doesn't really know how to check for actual dependency versions used in my project.

Contras:

Hard to teach new users where to find things at times. Especially with Monitors.

Documentation is lacking in certain APIs. Specifically, the python SDK seems to have features that aren't mentioned in the documentation for dashboards. The widgets are able to accept **kwargs that exist in the JSON definition in the dashboards, but not in the documentation

Comentarios: I've just use Datadog nearly a year and I really love it, it helps me to keep track and integrate easier with other 3rd parties like Seri Log. I can receive notification about my application via email/slack, it's very useful

Creation of custom dashboards. Event tracing is easier to debug by developers.

Contras:

Login is bit of a hassle. Have to go through SSO every single time.

Datadog the standard of logs

Comentarios: Overall, datadog is a good tool that I use within our organization's tool stack to look at logs to identify issues and troubleshoot for our customers.

Puntos a favor:

The dashboard in datadog is very customizable, allowing me to view metrics and logs to my preference. This in my opinion, allows me to work very efficiently. I also appreciate the alerting system as it helps me catch and identify problems.

Contras:

The learning curve was a bit hard to understand at first, as there was a lot of options at the start that makes it feel overwhelming.

Complex but absolutely a must use

Comentarios: Very pleased even if the learning curve is steep. Once on the top of the hill, however, you have swiss knife

Exhaustive it covers almost every aspect of monitoring an application

Contras:

Documentation. Mastering the product is hard given it covers so many aspects. However documentation can be improved with more samples and easier doc navigation (it relies too much on blog samples)

Dashboard and session logs all at one place is good thing to have, also the services listed and getting data around it is also good. Information of service like chart, logs, APIs are good as well

Contras:

Tracing logs can be made bit more simpler like the most useful resource columns should be added directly

Comentarios: One of the best tool as compared to others to use for logs. Easy to integrate and use.

Puntos a favor:

The efficiency and features of the tools, how quickly it can fetch logs and extensive search features.

Contras:

Sometimes, it become very difficult to get log of a particular data stream or single stream and need to search alot of logs. Plus, there should be a text feature so don't need to click each log or hover feature.

Really good dashboards and insights. APM is my favorite

Contras:

Better UI with font and style could be useful.

Best Solution For IT Management

It has amazing network monitoring and IT management features Setup and understanding it is easy.

Contras:

All smooth with Datadog. No serious concerns
