An honest consumer review for the Reach CMS

Comentarios: Ultimately, Reach has allowed for quick updates to our client ads. Although most features offered by Reach are not something our company needs, they do however open potential opportunities for us to offer to our clients and utilize in the future. Furthermore, Reach did not have a specific feature that one of their competitors does offer (Watchfire Ignite), but I was able to provide the details of this new feature to a Reach Support Representative and they promised to submit this as a potential feature for the Reach CMS. This may or may not be implemented, but my concern was gladly heard - as such, the Reach customer service has been a very positive experience for myself.

Puntos a favor:

Features available enable us to compete with most of our competition and surpass others. Which in our case, allows us to offer our clients state-of-the-art service.

Contras:

Due to this being a web-based system, certain clunky response times for content updates, caching concerns, CSS consistency errors, etc - all account for a demerit in consumer value. Most of which can be addressed with future front-end updates to the Reach software. Largest concern from a front-end development standpoint would be major inconsistencies in responsive view (mobile, tablet). There should be no limitations between devices. Granted, although many of these appear concerning, the web-based route allows for flexible updates on a diverse set of systems, web-based integrations for RSS Feeds/Social Content, and many other valuable features which would hold its weight in limitations if Reach were a standalone application.

Great Digital Signage Solution with Awesome Support

Comentarios: VERY good support. Always receive a quick and supportive answer and resolution to our support needs.

Not all information is available on theie website...requires conversations with their tech support folks to figure out the best way to handle certain situations (such as multi-monitor displays).

Frustrating User Experience

Comentarios: Overall we were not impressed with Reach.

We have been using Reach media for many years and really liked the web portal.

Contras:

We didn't like the digital players we kept having to reset them and reboot them. then we switched to firesticks and encountered issues with the app just not starting. lots of frustration working with the product.

Reach's ease and convenience has allowed us to step up our marketing and promotion efforts.

I love the ability to create our own custom graphics and add them to our Reach screens. The screens look so professional and consistent throughout our buildings. We have six facilities with screens, and I like being able to manage them all from one place. We've been able to step up the promotion of our products and services while saving time and money.

Contras:

So far, it's been a great experience. I don't have anything to add here.

Reach Media platform is great and easy to use

Comentarios: Our experience with Reach has been great. They have good support and the players just work. The content managers love the playlist management and how simple it is to use.

We liked the simplicity of web portal, the playlist management and the remote management of our devices. Their support is also very good.

Contras:

Once in a while we need to reinstall the application on some devices.

I like the fact that you could demo the product before purchasing, it's user friendly, you can schedule training, I love the layout of the product. Response when you need help is available and timely. There's just so much I love about this product!

Contras:

In the filter status I like to be able to see what I have scheduled because sometimes I'm asking myself did I schedule something. I schedule my events at least 2 weeks in advance.

Comentarios: Awesome. From the sales team to the support team, I have had NO bad experiences or long wait times for information and support over past 4-5 years.

Easy to install, setup and maintain. The simple interface on using different calendars and layout templates. LOVE the fact that we do not pay for new/revised template creation!!

Reach Media displays in Matrix Distribution Centers

Comentarios: Our experience has been great, the our team in multiple facilites has appreciated the ability that Reach Media has provided to present time sensitive and important information.

very easy to use not user friendly if you have any time of logo, animated logo, xmas messages with short video or gifs etc..

Contras:

I have over 2000 contacts/Clients on my iphone. Online reviews seemed helpful - but now that I have used it - its not at all designed for my business. I wanted to send out short holiday gifs, or property photo gifs, short video, or messages with my logo on them. Beware, Image attachments DO NOT work with the auto send option. You have to click to send each one. And, beware - if you do not toggle the Fully Automate to ON in your settings (btw- not mentioned in the directions) it Will clog up your emails and texts. Perhaps this is designed for small group use and standard flat messages. But I can email that kind of boring stuff.

Comentarios: We just needed an easy communication board in our break room so that employees would get updates or announcements. Something that would be simple to use and not bog any one person down. The Reach System was perfect. We were up and running in a day as as we've gotten use to the system, we have started to explore more of the bells and whistles.....of which there are many.

Contras:

Not really a con but I'd like to have access to as much stock content as possible. Stock Safety slides, etc.

Reach is easy to use and a great communication tool for our office

Comentarios: We have had Reach for several years now and it has been working well for us. We are currently redesigning our template and Reach has been helpful with this. They are always available to troubleshoot issues and to listen to our requests.

Puntos a favor:

Loading graphics and video and scheduling them to appear when wanted is key. This is easy with Reach. The display looks great and we love it as a communication tool throughout our departments.

Contras:

It may be more specific to our use, but if a graphic is assigned to multiple locations and you wish to change that to only one or two locations, it is easier to remove the graphic entirely and then start over than to go through the system and remove from each location. This is my only current issue with the software.

Very Helpful Company with a Quality Product

Comentarios: We are in the process of moving all of our academic signage over to their platform, with some testing and several signs activated. Everyone I have worked with at REACH has been very accommodating, has tried to understand my timeline (which has changed quite a bit due to some legacy equipment we were initially going to use prematurely hitting end of life) and have displayed qualities including being genuinely helpful, willing to go above and beyond to make sure our rollout is moving along as planned, and regularly checking to ensure our experience with the company is first-rate.

Puntos a favor:

We can do everything in the cloud that I need, the software itself is intuitive and works well. If I ever run into an issue, the REACH staff are very easy to work with and I have enjoyed working with them. I am a person who is laid-back, but has absolutely no hesitation at letting companies know if I am unhappy (our my company is) with them! REACH offers a very good product at a price point that has saved us considerable money while having 99% of the features we were used to using or considering using and added a few we did not have.

Contras:

Very little. A few interactive items, I am used to programming myself versus working with the company for a minimal cost. I believe for most organizations, especially small business, this ends up being more of a feature as they can have dedicated people build whatever they need at exceptionally competitive rates. I am just a control freak, so it is more specific to my own personality and situation.

Comentarios: I think the value the present is good vs the overall cost.

I have some experience with another system. The easy of setting up and full management for REACH is nice. The fact that their is no monthly charges beyond the add in services you need is nice. I don't feel like we are paying for something that we get no benefit for.

Contras:

I think the editor for creating slides lacks some ability to be creative, it could be upgraded. But it is functional to make basic presentations. I know there is more options, but I am not a graphics person so I may just not know how to use it.

We use this product to keep students update with school information, provide some humour and display current events. The product is very easy to use and customer service is great. I have introduced the product at two different high schools with great success.

Reaching our Youth!

Comentarios: Reach is a great tool that is user friendly and easy to follow. We have had many youth in our program mention they loved being able to sit and eat their meal and get updated at the same time. It is a great tool for what we do!

We are able to connect with the homeless youth we serve in a way that speaks to them (TV). As sad as it is TV broadcasting in facilities like ours have a huge impact on getting the information out that we need to! I love the fact that I can customize each page the way I want it and then adjust it anytime I need to. I also love the fact that there are stock photos that we can use to help upgrade our message to the clients.

Contras:

I only think that I have trouble when I try to update the board, sometimes I get confused on how to get the updates to transfer to the screen. It is getting better but that was the only thing I had trouble with.

REACH, a customer's perspective

Comentarios: From first contact to implementation took a while on OUR END due to budgeting into a non-profit system. When we gave the green light it went very well and quickly...but not rushed. Support gave all the information our IT staff needed for a quick, and wireless, installation and implementation of service. Easy to use right from the start and has become even easier to use than when we started two years ago. They will have to pry this system from my, cold, dead hands if the budget ever becomes too lean or a change is suggested. So, I guess you can say I am pleased with the system and value.

Puntos a favor:

Being able to edit/control content from literally ANYWHERE. This has saved our organization countless hours vs. the old way with USB thumb drives...not to mention 1 person can do the task that took 3 (with travel time) in the past! The Instagram posts are looking fabulous and the stock artwork saves so much time not having to scour the internet to create holiday greetings/notices of closure.

Contras:

I know they are working on it already, but our Facebook posts sometimes appear strange and illegible. It seems only to appear legible when the post is not a 'shared' post or story...only when it's created on-page does it seem to appear legible.

Easy to Use Product with Great ROI

Comentarios: Reach helps us communicate to all of our audiences in a timely, visually appealing way. We've used other systems in the past, and Reach is the most affordable and easy to use. The customer service and support teams are fast and helpful. My overall experience is very positive.

What I like most about this software is the user friendly interface, fast customer service, stock image options, and preview modes.

Contras:

As a designer who uses an iMac, the editing tools are less sophiscated and a bit cumbersome to operate when I need to fine tune an area. Some great upgrades might include an alignment tool for text boxes and shapes.

Easy Transition to digital display implementation - and great Customer service/response

Comentarios: Reach has allowed us to integrate video and graphics in one layout/zone and play them, whereas we didn't have that capability before. It has also freed up the daily/ weekly updating of the screens, as you can schedule ahead and specify dates as to what announcements/graphics appear in each playlist. I currently have 2 displays at different locations displaying different content- i have four playlists going at once. Each monitor has 2 graphic zones, each with it's own playlist - Reach makes this seamless and "easy-peasy".

Contras:

The only downside i have found is in the postitioning of Title/Label text boxes - I have had to adjust these several times when putting a static text box/label next to a playlist box. The position on the editing screen is slightly different once it's previewed on the actual screen. It just takes tweaking to get them exactly where you want them to appear.

Marketing Rule of Seven

Comentarios: It's seldom down, but when it is, tech support is quick to answer the call. The video quality is good.

Puntos a favor:

I like that users of our facility are being marketed to unbeknownst to them and the more hits, the better (Marketing Rule of Seven). Whether they are a parent waiting for a child to get out of skate lessons, hanging out on the front entry to catch some air, or waiting in the concession line at intermission, it reaches out to the patron where they are without requiring them to actively search, and may just intrigue someone to check an activity out.

Contras:

It's difficult to delete a text box once created and sometimes it doesn't project like it previews.
