The document automation and precedent library are particularly valuable, enabling consistent, accurate drafting while saving considerable time. The cloud-based functionality also provides flexibility and secure access across devices, which supports modern, mobile legal practice. In addition, the onboarding process and ongoing support have been professional and responsive, making implementation smooth for our team. Overall, LEAP has enhanced productivity, improved organization, and allowed us to focus more on delivering quality service to clients. > > **Puntos en contra**: What I like least about LEAP Legal Software is that it is mainly desktop-based and does not properly save emails from the new web-based Outlook. Since many firms now use Outlook on the web, this creates extra manual work to save important emails into matters. Because of this limitation, our team sometimes has to manually copy or upload emails, which slows down workflow and adds unnecessary steps. Improved integration with the new Outlook web version would make the system much more efficient and better suited to modern, cloud-based practice. > > We have been using LEAP Legal Software since 2017 and currently hold more than 30 licenses across our firm. Overall, our experience has been positive, particularly in terms of matter management, document automation, billing, and trust accounting all being integrated into one system. There are a lot of really helpful features, particularly the ability to design and personalize templates that function a lot like mail merge in office. I also really enjoy the divorcemate cloud integration. > > **Puntos en contra**: When we started with LEAP, it often felt like we were beta testing software that was already supposed to be finished. The software is really buggy. It doesn't integrate well with Microsoft Office and the integrations often cause random errors or crashing with microsoft word. I've had to completely uninstall and reinstall the app several times when it seems to get 'stuck' or won't update properly for random reasons - for example, new matters won't show up when I login and only appear when searching archived matters as well. I don't like that I can't open multiple windows in the matter; it makes it cumbersome to move documents between various folders. It also struggles if you have a weaker internet connection. I don't find the software particularly intuitive - many of the tools are not where you would expect them to be. > > Overall, I miss the old divorcemate compared to LEAP. At the end of the three year contract, they wanted a huge increase in the monthly cost. I asked for their best offer, and it was terrible. Once I changed to a different system, only then did they offer a better price point. I did not realize how much time it was going to save me until I really learned how to use it. Once the firm templates, memos, documents even emails were built the day to day time wasting tasks went away. Once client data is entered communication is a joy as all forms, documents and really anything with data can be prefilled for you. Having my billing and accounting under the same umbrella and connected to Quickbooks is just a pleasure as well as a time saver. > > **Puntos en contra**: There are a few items that are clunky, like no middle name or initial block. There is a limited amount of customization and no CRM. > > I have to admit the learning curve was steep for me personally. However, when I figured out how to build my forms and documents and ensure I had my data entered, LEAP really showed its versatility and power.
